The Shipley’s Family Session

The Sunflower Garden, Westminster

I could not have been happier with my first session at The Sunflower Garden in Westminster, Maryland! Exploring a new location as a photographer is always exciting. From the moment I arrived, I knew this beautiful Westminster flower field would quickly become a favorite for family and senior photography sessions.

The Shipley family was relaxed and ready to go with the flow, which made everything feel natural and fun for the kids. We wandered through rows of vibrant blooms, admired the unique flowers (the boys were especially fascinated by the “zombie brains”!), ran between the sunflower paths, and twirled in the golden sunset light.

There’s something so special about late-summer sessions in Carroll County — warm light, colorful fields, and space for kids to just be kids. This session had all of it.
